Last weekend Cindy and I went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. While we were there we went over to the Smoky Mountain National Forest. There’s a nice part of the park there called Cade’s Cove.

There we found an eight mile driving route through a part of the park that had several old farms and churches. While Cade’s Cove is not inhabited by humans anymore, it is home to deer, turkey, and bear. The park service web site said they have several million visitors each year and traffic jams during peak season. We also went to the Dixie Stampede. During the Christmas season, they have a holiday version of their excellent show. If you haven’t been, it’s a nice show and a good time. Oh yeah, they feed you too. Here are some of the pictures we took on this trip.
